The name Shalom and excellence in Christian aged care have been integrally linked in Sydney's north for almost 50 years.
Soon Baptist Community Services - NSW & ACT [BCS] will open the doors on a new Shalom era.
The Marsfield-based BCS Shalom Centre is an award-winning, high-quality aged care centre that has been totally redeveloped by Baptist Community Services over the past four years at a cost of more than $30million.
Stage one of the centre was opened in 2006 and a second stage will be opened in August.
BCS Shalom Centre features landscaped gardens, a state-of-the-art nurse-call system, care technology, innovative dementia-care facilities, a chapel, client and family lounge areas, comprehensive catering facilities, a café and a general purpose room for community activities.
The facility is close to major bus routes and to a new railway station on the Chatswood/Epping railway line to be completed in 2008.
